NVTA offers its full-time employees* competitive salaries and an attractive benefits package which include:
MERIT INCREASE- Salaries are based upon experience and are reviewed annually.
VACATION - Twelve to twenty-six days of vacation annually based on years of service. Up to 80 hours of vacation payout per year based on eligibility guidelines.
HOLIDAYS - Employees receive seven paid holidays per year.
PERSONAL LEAVE - 56 hours credited during the first pay period of the fiscal year (prorated based on the date of hire).
MANAGEMENT LEAVE- 80 hours of leave for Manager level (or above) employees with a buy-out option.
SICK LEAVE - Twelve days earned per year with unlimited accrual.
HEALTH INSURANCE - NVTA contributes a significant portion of the premium to employees and their dependents. The medical plans currently being offered include:

- CalPers Blue Shield
- PersChoice - PPO
- PersCare - PPO
- PersSelect - PPO
DENTAL INSURANCE - NVTA offers a dental plan with NVTA paying the premium for the employee and their dependents. VISION - The County offers a vision plan through Medical Eye Services with the premium paid by the employee.
LIFE INSURANCE - Equal to one times annual salary (NVTA paid) with the option to purchase additional insurance.
PART-TIME - Vacation, holidays, personal leave, health benefit premiums, and sick leave are prorated for part-time employees.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION - The Agency offers a 457 plan with annual employer match up to $1,000 per year.
RETIREMENT - NVTA participates in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), and individual employee participation is mandatory. Effective June 2, 2011, the current Retirement formula is 2% @ 60.
NVTA does not participate in Social Security.
