Press Release- NVTA Suspending Some Vine Transit Bus Service in Response to Fire Disaster

Vine Transit resources readied in case more evacuations are ordered

 
NAPA — The Napa Valley Transportation Authority (NVTA) is immediately suspending some Vine Transit bus service in response to the ongoing fire disaster and to assist with evacuation efforts.
 
All bus routes are temporarily suspended, except for Routes 8, 10, and 11, which will operate on the Saturday schedule.
 
Route 29 will continue operating and include weekend service. Routes 10 and 29 will turn around in St. Helena. 
 
Community Shuttle service in American Canyon, Yountville, St. Helena and Calistoga is also suspended until further notice.
 
These changes will remain in effect through Sunday, at which time NVTA will evaluate current conditions and adjust schedules accordingly.

Vine Transit provides emergency transit services at the direction of the Napa County Emergency Operations Center. Since early Monday, Vine drivers have helped evacuate people in Napa, Yountville and Calistoga.
