Vine Transit and NVTA are Going to the Dogs on June 23
Vine Transit and the Napa Valley Transportation Authority join other organizations around the globe in the 19th annual celebration of Take Your Dog to Work Day this Friday, June 23, 2017
NAPA — On Friday, June 23rd, 2017, the Napa Valley Transportation Authority and Vine Transit will join organizations around the globe in opening their doors to employees’ furry, four-legged best friends for Pet Sitter’s International (PSI) 19th annual Take Your Dog To Work Day. The 2017 celebration marks the inaugural year of NVTA’s participation in the event.
Take Your Dog to Work Day was established by PSI in 1999. This annual event urges businesses around the globe to experience the joys of dogs in the workplace for just one day to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to promote adoptions from local shelters, rescue groups and humane societies.
“NVTA and Vine Transit” is excited to go to the dogs for a good cause! We see this event as a way to recognize the important role dogs play in our employees’ lives and an opportunity to make a positive impact on our local community,” says Executive Director Kate Miller.
“One work day can change a pet’s entire life,” says PSI President Patti Moran. “When agencies like NVTA join in the Take Your Dog to Work Day celebration, they not only provide an enjoyable perk for their employees—they also increase community ties and raise awareness of local pets in need of a forever home.”

All dogs are welcome to ride with their companions all day. Dogs must pay the full adult fare and be on their best behavior, but misbehaved pooches will be asked to disembark.
