Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC)

Submitted by NVTA on September 5, 2019 - 12:00am

*Please refer to the current agenda for meeting guidelines and location*

The Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) examines issues related to all modes of transportation — automobile, transit, biking, walking — with a goal of updating transportation infrastructure and improving the health and wellbeing of our community.

CAC members help NVTA staff develop important countywide transportation plans and projects. For example, at the first committee meeting, members examined an overview of NVTA’s Vine Transit Express Bus Study to help determine how to reduce congestion and improve commuting options on Napa County's busiest travel corridors: SR-29, SR-221 and SR-12.

In total, 19 members will be appointed to the CAC to represent a broad spectrum of interests and the diverse communities in Napa Valley. Six of those members will be appointed by the elected boards of Napa County's jurisdictions: the cities of American Canyon, Calistoga, Napa and St. Helena; the Town of Yountville; and the County of Napa. Members will serve two-year terms. Meetings will be typically held Wednesday evenings at 5 p.m. at NVTA's office at 625 Burnell Street in Napa unless otherwise noted; six regular meetings will be held a year.

Please read the CAC bylaws for more information on becoming a member.

The regular meeting time for the Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) will be 5:00 p.m. and the recommended regular meeting scheduled for 2022 is as follows:

  • Wednesday, January 5 Agenda
  • Wednesday, March 2 Agenda
  • Wednesday, May 4 Agenda
  • Wednesday, July 6 Agenda
  • Wednesday, September 7
  • Wednesday, November 2
