Public Meeting - Two new concepts released for Soscol Junction Improvement Project

The presentation and concept boards from the August 16th meeting can be downloaded at the following link -
The California Department of Transportation (CALTRANS) in partnership with NVTA,
proposes two (2) new concepts to improve the traffic flow at the intersection of State
oute (SR) 221 and SR 29. The purpose of the project is to alleviate congestion and improve traffic
operations and conditions at the Soscol Junction intersection.
After the initial release of the draft EIR/EA and concept plan in March of 2015,
the Project Partners, NVTA and Caltrans, received public comments in regards to
the concepts’ lack of integration of bicycle and pedestrian access and the visual
appearance of the Soscol flyover. The Project Partners would like to present two
(2) new proposed concepts using the guidance of previous public comments and
concerns. A public meeting will be held to provide the public an opportunity to
provide comments on the two (2) new proposed concepts for the Soscol Junction.
